How to Use mTickets on Board the Bus & Tram

As we launch new mTickets on the TravelMaster App, we want to ensure that all passengers can easily navigate this new system. Here’s a step-by-step guide for customers on how to use M-Tickets when boarding the bus & tram. 


What mTickets are available from the TravelMaster App? 

CityBus(1 Day, Bundle 5 1-Day), CityWide(1 Day, Bundle 5 1-Day), SYBus(1 Day, Bundle 5 1-Day), SYConnect(1 Day, Bundle 5 1-Day) 


Bundle tickets, originally called Flexi5 tickets, are a package of five 1-day tickets that allow passengers to travel on multiple days of their choosing.  


Step-by-Step Instructions for Using mTickets

  • Download the TravelMaster App - If you haven't already, download the TravelMaster App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  • Open the App and create an account or log in to your existing account.


Purchase Your mTicket

  • Choose Tickets from the bottom App options
  • Select the ticket icon in the top right corner for a mTicket
  • Press Get Tickets 
  • Choose your travel zone 
  • Choose your travel mode - bus or  bus + tram.
  • Select which ticket duration you need - 1 Day or Bundle 5 (Five 1 Day tickets)
  • Confirm ticket details and apply a coupon code if using
  • Select Continue to payment to complete the ticket purchase 
  • You will receive confirmation that the purchase was successful and an email confirmation with the ticket details sent to the registered email address - please check your spam, junk and other email folders. 


Access Your M-Ticket

  • Your mTicket will be stored in the Mobile Tickets Inbox tab
  • mTickets will be stored in the App inbox for up to 33 days. After which the mTicket will expire (not eligible for a refund). 
  • You can gift the ticket to another TravelMaster App user by entering their registered email address 
  • To activate the mTicket on the day of your journey select Activate
  • The active ticket will now be stored in the Mobile Tickets, Active tab


Board

  • When the bus or tram arrives, ensure you have your mTicket ready
  • Open the TravelMaster App and select Show to display your mTicket
  • Ensure that the ticket is clearly displayed on your screen


Present Your M-Ticket

  • As you board, hold your phone up so the driver or conductor can see your mTicket
  • The driver or conductor will scan the QR code or visually verify the ticket


Enjoy Your Journey

Once your mTicket is verified, you’re good to go! Find a seat and enjoy your ride.


Tips for a Smooth Experience

  • Ensure Good Connection - Make sure your phone is charged and has a good signal when accessing the app, especially if you’re purchasing a ticket on the go.
  • Check Expiration - Keep an eye on your ticket’s expiration time to avoid any issues while boarding.
  • Keep the App Updated - Regularly update the TravelMaster App to ensure you have the latest features and improvements.
  • If you're gifting a mTicket, ensure the email address entered is correct. TravelMaster is unable to offer refunds for incorrectly gifted mTickets.
